Gabrielle is a Plant Pathology and Genetics & Genomics PhD student interested in evolutionary biology and molecular population genetics. Using her interests, she will be investigating Cercospora spp. under a 21st century genomics lens to better characterize the taxonomy of Cercospora spp., improve species identification in the field, and determine markers to be monitored for fungicide resistance. Outside of the lab she enjoys painting, putting together puzzles, nature walks, and being a plant mom.
